Eight really heavy wheel-barrow wheels and other developments.

Stuff is happening at the studio. Getting to work. Not many comforts yet.

Julian got a delivery of metal. I was prepared for some heavy lifting but the guy could drive his cart right into the shop.
The bike is a three wheeled electric. With a ten hour battery. Julian followed him on his small motor bike.

A lot of room to work on the floor. I really need a table.

why yes, that is a new hair cut.
starting the big stencils.

Everyone seems to like girls with long hair and a bag.
Putting some stuff on the walls. We desperately need some furniture. The two blue stools are the only thing to sit and/or work on at the moment.

Julian unloading scrap metal. It took two trucks to deliver the stuff. The first truck hit a bump shattering its windshield. We could not drive this one in. So we unloaded it piece by piece. Yes it is raining.

Julian and his Chinese teacher/procurement assistant in front of the metal.
I think it has a finished quality before he even starts. Maybe its the white walls and the orange pipe.

Julian and I. Moments later we headed out into a rainy Beijing night and had no trouble finding a taxi. In addition to the artists and galleries in cao chang di, there is a pretty good, but very "Chinese" street market. The community is a mix of very meger Chinese homes and businesses, next to gated artist studios and galleries. It is very friendly and you can find just about anything you need nearby. There are a number of good sized dogs something I never see inside the second ring road. Over the weekend we had a good number of walk-ins. Most were other artists from the area checking out the new guys. Others were sight-seers. This really forces me to work on my Chinese.
